The main reason I bought this pan was because the outlines for all the details were suppose to transfer over to the cake so you could just ice it by design there. Well, the outlines different transfer so that was pretty disappointing. The good thing is that the instructions on the paperwork for the pan has easy to follow directions and between that and a little imagination it should turn out pretty good for you.I think the pan and instructions itself are Great but the reason I gave it 3 stars is because the whole purpose of this pan is to transfer the details to the cake and it Fails to do that.I would Recommend if: You have some imagination and feel comfortable decorating cakes. I think even if you are very new to decorating you will be fine as long as you follow the instructions they have provided with the pan.I wold NOT Recommend if: You are buying it solely for the outlines and do not think you can decorate even a little bit.

This requires alot of freehand work so the pan seemed pointless to me. It is really cheap too. I sent it back and made my own design.

I have made several cakes with Wilton cake pans, so I thought I knew what I was getting. This pan was the worst I have experienced. I followed the directions to a T but the design did not transfer at all. I thought even if the main shapes transferred, I could fill in the rest from the photo, but not a single line transferred. It was basically a blob. I ended up getting a rush cake done at a bakery so that we could have a cake for my son's party.
