I'm using this as a mold for cold process soapmaking--and Wow! I'm impressed! The detail in the mold really shows up, and the silicone allows for super easy release. If you fill the mold to the top, it produces a perfect 4 oz bar (see photo I uploaded with the product photos).I've also used it with M&P soap, and that also produces a beautifully detailed bar of soap.I'm sure it would make really cool cakes, but since I don't mix soap tools with foods tools, I may have to order another!

I bought this mold to make moon cakes for my labmate's birthday and they worked fantastically. The cake I made was a bit spongy and since the mold pattern is a bit intricate, I think the cakes lost a little bit of detail, but they were beautiful anyways and baked very well!! I put the mold directly on the oven rack, but it probably would be smarter to put it on a baking pan so that the batter is level since the silicone is so flexible. I really like how quickly silicone cools and it is really easy to clean! The cakes popped right out of the mold too, without cracking or anything. I'm looking forward to baking more with it!On a side note, the other reviews have inspired me to make the massage bars (I love the ones from LUSH!!!) I've had been meaning to attempt. I am sure they will be beautiful enough to give as gifts. Can't wait!

Purchased this mold for CP soap and was a little worried after reading a review that said the soaps were small. Personally, I thought this mold was the perfect size for soap. The other reviewer said her soaps were about 3 ounces, but mine came out at around 5 ounces, and I didn't even pour completely to the top. Not sure why. Soap popped out super easy (I stuck it in the freezer for a few hours before unmolding) and soap held all the detail of the mold. Awesome mold, would HIGHLY recommend. Thanks amazon!
